GINUE is opening up new horizons in the education sector by producing competent teachers who will contribute to the advancement of elementary education of Korea, boost their professional expertise, and take a leadership role in the field.
Graduate School of Education
The Graduate School of Education opened its doors on March 2, 1996, with the aim of producing excellent professionals in the field of elementary education and contributing to the advancement of elementary education in Korea. It obtained approval to be promoted to the status of “graduate school of education” on November 15, 2012. It currently has 18 students each year for 13 doctoral degree programs, and 647 students for 31 master’s degree programs.

Goals
The goal of GSE is to contribute to the empowerment of educators by;

- 3Contributing to the development of elementary education.
- 4Promoting in-service teachers' professional development.

6,290 master’s degrees have been awarded since 1998.
34 doctoral degrees have been awarded since 2017. -

Admission Requirements
A complete application form, Official tranx-x-x-x-x-x-scripts from all previous universities or colleges, Academic Ability Test & English Proficiency Test (Doctoral applicants only), Oral Interview.

Eligibility
Master's Program
A bachelor's degree holder (or the equivalent or higher intellectual competency as determined by the admissions committee).
Exceptions :
- Elementary Special Education requires a Teacher's Certificate in Elementary Education or a Teacher's Certificate in Special Education.Special Education(Teacher‘s Certification Course) requires a Teacher’s Certificate in Elementary Education or a Teacher’s Certificate in Special Education(Elementary Education)
- School Counseling(Counseller Certification Course) requires a Grades Ⅱ or higher Regular Teacher’s Certificate (Including Grades Ⅱ or higher Regular teacher’s Certificate referred to EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION ACT) and must be an incumbent teacher with more than 3 years of teaching experience
- Early Childhood Education requires a Teacher’s Certificate in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education and must be an incumbent teacher at an Institution related to Early Childhood Education
- Early Childhood Educational Leadership must be an Early Childhood Education Institution Founder, Operator, Administrative Professional in Early Childhood Education or Administrative Professional in Nursery
Doctoral Program
A master’s degree holder(or the equivalent or higher intellectual competency as determined by the admissions committee) and a Teacher’s Certificate.
