Mathematics Education

The objective of the Department of Mathematics Education is to foster self-directed and creative elementary mathematics educators who research and understand the basic concepts, principles, and rules of mathematics dealt with in lementary school settings. In addition to gainingthe ability to solve diverse mathematical problems, students also gain a habit of considering various day-to-day events and phenomena from the mathematical perspective. At the same time, they gain a richer and more in-depth understanding of mathematical content and pedagogy, thereby becoming elementary school teachers with a firm view of teaching and excellent teaching competencies.
