The objective of the Department of Education is to nurture competent elementary school teachers who can contribute to the development of education by equipping them with the basic knowledge and skills related to the educational phenomena in elementary schools and research on the issues with education. For this purpose, the department offers a curriculum that helps students understand the phenomena and issues in the current education system and solve the problems; Courses include theories of character education, education for gifted children, special lectures on elementary pedagogy, teaching and learning methodologies, education research and statistics, education measurement and evaluation, society, culture and education, theory of education reform, theories and actuality of education administration, inquiries on the issues of elementary education, history of elementary education, and contemporary trends in education. Students get to broaden their educational view, gain a deeper understanding of education, and acquire the skills to resolve educational issues in the field and contribute to the development of the education sector.
